dc.description.abstract The Sun is the main object bin the solar system and contain 99% by mass of all objects which orbit it in the solar system, so it dominates all these systems of objects by its gravitational pull. The Natural satellites called the Moon systems are also dominated by the planets they orbit. The rotation of the planets and their Moon systems brings about eclipse phenomena when these celestial objects are aligned. Therefore, in this project, the planet earth and its natural satellite (the Moon) and their alignment with the Sun properly explained especially the eclipse occurrence observed mainly along the Equator line of the Greenwich Meridian) The main objectives of the study were to verify eclipses in Uganda, I achieved this by examining the interaction of the Sun, the Earth and the Moon that leads lead to eclipse, obtained previous eclipses and determined types of eclipses. Since Uganda is located along equator line, the Earth’s surface along this line experience some unique characteristics because the Earth is bulging along this line, the Earth’s radius is slightly longer than normal along equator line and the Earth experience fastest rotation along the equator observers witness shortest Sunrise and Sunset for most of the year. en_US
