dc.description.abstract Introduction: Malaria is the number one most fatal disease in Uganda. Uganda has made a lot of progress with respect to the control of malaria, having greatly reduced malaria infection prevalence using a combination of case management, larval habitat management, free insecticide treated net distribution strategies, prompt epidemic response, and indoor residual spray (IRS) in epidemic prone areas. Despite considerable advances in the reduction of malaria transmission over the last decade, malaria remains the leading cause of death among pregnant mothers and children under 5 years old in Uganda. The study therefore sought to determine the prevalence of malaria among pregnant women attending antenatal care clinic Buwenge Health Centre IV, Jinja District. en_US
