dc.description.abstract The study aimed at investigating the relationship between Self Esteem, Stress and Substance Abuse among Makerere University Students A study adopted a quantitative research approach with correlational method to determine the relationship between the study variables. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 23. The results showed that that there is a significant relationship between self -esteem and stress, (r=..360**, p =.002). Results show that stress and substance abuse are related (r=.-220*, p =039<0.05). Results also showed there is a relationship between self esteem and substance abuse (r=.p-341*,p= .001<0.05). en_US
