dc.description.abstract William Shakespeare once said that all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others. Likewise,in the course of education, some students get a privilege of joining good schools and colleges and others don’t. As a result, some students and teachers have access to superb education materials that aid their good academic performance whereas others use limited poor resources to achieve the little they achieve. It is out of question that if availed with quality resources, these students would see their performance drastically improve. The access to these resources is costly involving a lot of time, money and effort even when one would want to voluntarily share with one’s fellow teachers or students. The researchers for that reason aimed at developing an Integrated Online Education Resource and Knowledge Sharing System to conduit such a gap brought about by poor, hard to use means of sharing education knowledge and resources/materials. The system provides quality and open educational resources and allows communication and collaboration between different teachers and students from different schools here in Kampala.During the system requirements gathering phase, the researchers used Questionnaires, Observation, Interviews and Document review for data collection. The researchers performed data analysis to thoroughly apply statistical or logical techniques to analyze, summarize, and evaluate data collected from the respondents to develop the system. The system was implemented and tested using unit testing to attest that the system was error free. Integration testing was employed to ensure that the modules were compatible to make a complete system. The system was validated by providing data into the system to check the certainty of its functionality. The system permits sharing of resources and knowledge, acts as a repository for learning materials, provides real time communications and discussions inform of chats en_US
