dc.description.abstract The purpose of the study was to findout the relationship between and levels of perceived organizational support and job performance among Makerere University non teaching staff. The study investigated the relationship between perceived organizational support and job performance of non teaching staff members from College of Education and External Studies and Halls of reisdence of Makerere university, Kampala. A descriptive survey research design was adopted using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Simple random sampling was used to select the staff whereby questionnaires were given out to the staff members. Data analysis involved frequencies, percentages and inferential statistics such as correlations and the coefficient of determination. Findings revealed a positive relationship between perceived organizational support and job performance. It was therefore concluded that, there was a significant positive relationship between perceived organizational support and job performance among the non teaching staff of Makerere university. The study recommends that the management of Makerere university should enhance organizational support by strongly implementing organization policies, attitudes, procedure and decisions that support and value employees’ contribution and wellbeing. This will help to improve to job performance of the employees en_US
