dc.description.abstract The study investigated the relationship between occupational stress and employee performance of employees of Kayunga Local Government. The study intended to achieve the following objectives; To find out the relationship between occupational stress and employee performance and to find out the causes of stress in the work place. A correlation study design was used in the study to establish the relationship between occupational stress and employee performance of employees of Kayunga Local Government. The study used a sample of 60 respondents who were adopted using a simple random sampling technique. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires and later analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Scientists version 20. The findings show that there is a significant positive relationship between occupational stress and employee performance since (r=353**, p=0.006, <0.01). Conclusively, this implies that Occupational stress influences high performance among the employees of Kayunga Local Government. en_US
