dc.description.abstract Prostate cancer ranks among the deadliest cancers among men. However, there is very little information regarding PCa in the general public with most diagnoses made accidentally or at a late stage. This study is aimed at assessing the awareness of PCa among male students of Makerere University which can reflect awareness of disease among male youth in the country. The study will employ a cross sectional design. Participants will be asked to fill in a questionnaire containing multiple questions regarding the study. The answers will be analyzed, and a conclusion formed. Most participants reported that they knew PCa however had no accurate medical information on the disease such as signs and symptoms, screening methods and treatment regimens available for PCa. However, the participants who had health information about PCa were mostly from the College of Health Sciences hence were students in the medical field en_US
