Life’s tapestry

Abstract

My project explores different aspects of life that me as a writer and the audience goes through in their life. It addresses the themes of love, suffering, betrayal, disillusionment, immoralities and other related aspects of life. My writing aims at giving a reflection of what happens in our societies through giving life related stories that when the readers go through, they feel it is more of reality than fiction. The title of my collection is, LIFE’S TAPESTRY which reveals my deeper understanding about life and what happens to us on a daily basis. The word, TAPESTRY in my title is a metaphor used to describe the complexity and interconnectedness of life and human experiences. It suggests that life is composed of various threads, with each thread representing different events, emotions, relationships and experiences that contribute to the overall picture of an individual experiences. The title also reflects the diversity of human experiences with each thread symbolizing joy, sorrows, triumphs, failures, relationships and personal growths that people goes through in their life’s struggles. It also emphasizes that just as threads in a tapestry comes together to create a cohesive image, the various experiences in life, be it positive or negative combine to form and shape who we are as individuals. This interconnectedness therefore symbolize that no single event or experience exist in isolation, rather, they all contribute to the narrative of our lives.
