Abstract
This project report presents An Online Voting System (Tulonde) that is aimed at easing the process of carrying out elections at COCIS. The main objective of the project was to develop an Online Voting System (Tulonde) that will ensure and enable a speedy voting process, which is secure, convenient and with minimal chances of irregularities and influence. Here we present a more convenient system which will ease the work of organizing and structuring the elections and consequently increase voter participation. The system has been developed in accordance to the methodology of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with stages ranging from requirements specification to the entire validation of the system. Information and data for system study was collected using questionnaires. For analysis and design of the system, Unified modelling language comprising of use case and class diagrams was used to was used to model the various components and their interactions. To implement the system several technologies were used and this include PHP (Hypertext Processor), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), JavaScript, HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and for the database MySQL was used. The resultant outcome for this research project was an Online Voting System (Tulonde).
