dc.description.abstract Events management in Uganda has been evolving since early 90’s. The process involves a number of activities whose management and organisation by event organisers has been evolving. Different Event organisers provide various services which events owner utilise. However, access to the event organisers lacks proper means since they are scattered with little or no online presence, portal or central point for consultancy. The main access to event organisers is through a friend who recommends basing on previous experience. Therefore, the main objective of this research was to develop an Online Events Information Management system to provide online presence for event organisers and means of access to events service providers. The developed Online Events Information Management System enabled event owners access different event organisers, search for different services and book online without physical movement to their physical locations. The Online Events Information Management System was developed basing on collected requirements and specifications obtained by using techniques such as interviews, questionnaires and system reviews. System design was achieved using Microsoft Visio to create data flow diagrams(DFD), entity relationship diagram(ERD) and Enhanced Entity Relationship diagram(EERD). System implementation was achieved using technologies such as Hypertext Markup language(HTML) Hypertext pre-processor(PHP), JavaScript, CSS, and MySQL, JQuery for data management. The system was test and its adaptation by event organizers and future event owners will help boost event management and more functionality can be added on. en_US
