The influence of COVID-19 lockdowns on drug abuse among youths: a case of youths in Banda, Kasenyi area, Wakiso District

Abstract

The study dealt with the influence of lockdowns on drug abuse among youths. It was both qualitative and quantitative. The methodology used was descriptive. It used personal interview and observation as the data collection instruments. A descriptive research design was used to collect data from respondents in Banda, Kasenyi area. The finding from the research were able to show the influence of lockdowns on drug abuse among youths The report had five chapters; chapter one presented the introduction which included the background, problem statement, objectives, significance, justification and the scope of the study. Chapter two presented the literature review on the objectives of the study. Chapter three described the methodology used to collect data. Then after four and five were added after the research report was produced. Where, chapter four involved analysis and discussion of findings and chapter five presented the summary, conclusion and recommendation.
