dc.description.abstract Edwardsiella tarda is one of the most common fish pathogens in aquaculture. It causes a disease known as edwardsiellosis, which has been associated with significant economic loss through fish mortality and morbidity. Control of fish diseases through antibiotic use is compounded by increase in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) making these treatments less effective and posing a threat to public health. The E.tarda's drug resistance is at times linked to its ability to form biofilms. en_US
