Pre-freshers' application system

Abstract

From the research carried out in the university, application inconvenience pops up among the leading challenges for joining students. Students often fail to make their way into the university, yet they have relatively good grades. Some are forced to purse courses of not their desire. We have come up with a mobile application called Pre-Fresher's app that is to enable joining students to get full guidance and assistance for a smoother application process. Pre fresher's app has partnered with institutions like Makerere University together with various respondent like Registrars and continuing students to bring this service to the joining students. This will enable joining students have a more convenient application process as a pre-condition for their entry into university. During the system requirements elicitation phase, qualitative and quantitative data was collected through studying documentation, interviews, observation and questionnaires. The system was implemented using a number of tools and technologies python, MySQL, HTML, Php. The Logical and physical design was done, and the system was implemented with all the suggested features. It is highly recommended that students embrace the system to make their journey into the university smoother.
