dc.description.abstract Irrigation uniformity is one of the major concerns when using both drip and sprinkler irrigation system. The research was carried on purpose to evaluate the performance of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems at MUARIK. The performance of drip system was evaluated based on the following parameters: distribution uniformity (DU), emitter flow variation and, emission uniformity (EU). The distribution uniformity of 86%, the emitter flow variation of 20% and emission uniformity of 70% was found for drip irrigation system. The performance of sprinkler system was evaluated based on the distribution uniformity and Christiansen’s Coefficient of Uniformity (CU) parameters. The distribution uniformity of 78.6% and the Christiansen’s Coefficient of Uniformity (CU) of 82% was also found. The designed drip and sprinkler irrigation system were operated excellently as the value of DU for drip and sprinkler irrigation system was nearly equal to design criteria of 90% and 85% respectively. en_US
