Developing an information literacy curriculum for Morulem Primary School, Abim District

Abstract

This project addresses information overload whereby the overwhelming amount of available information makes it difficult to filter relevant and credible content. This teaches strategies for identifying, organizing and prioritizing information to avoid confusion and inefficiency in Morulem Primary School. It also solves the challenges of misinformation and disinformation. Here the spread of false information undermines trust and informed decision-making developing skills to critically evaluate the credibility of sources, detect bias and verify facts. This teaches systematic research methods including how to define problems, collect data and synthesize findings. It also emphasizes ethical use of information including proper citation practices and intellectual property awareness. Ultimately, this proposal aims to create a blueprint for digital transformation that not only streamlines the teaching process but also strengthens the school capacity for students centered learning.
