The study aimed at designing an Electronic Current Awareness System for Pride College School-Mpigi Library. The objectives of the study were to; profile the Current Awareness Services at Pride College School-Mpigi Library, review the existing literature on Current Awareness Services System so as to document requirements for CAS system design and develop an electronic Current Awareness Service System for Pride College School-Mpigi Library. Data were collected through interviews and document review methods from 27 respondents who participated in the study. Findings from the study revealed that school librarians still use manual methods in the delivery of current awareness services to the teachers, students and other library users. Social media platforms and electronic systems are less used, there is need for compatible and user-friendly system, and a need to design and implement an electronic CAS system, which can reach out to a wider audience. The traditional methods in offering current awareness services are used such as personal visit to the library, communication through word of mouth, library displays. This leads to delayed display of the new arrivals, irregular CAS delivery by email and increased costs to the library in providing CAS to users. Based on the above findings, the study concluded that, methods used to offer CAS services at the school library should be revised, methods like use of social media, websites and electronic systems should be adopted. Such systems should be compatible and user-friendly systems should be used in order to reach out to a wider population. HTML, JavaScript, PHP and CSS were used to design an electronic current awareness system for Pride College School-Mpigi Library. The study recommended that, the library should use of social media networks and implement the designed electronic current awareness system to inform and send updates to the users because it is compatible and user friendly.en_US
