Investigating the visual impact of Airtel billboards around Kampala District.

The study is to investigate on how Airtel billboards in Kampala have to an extent visually impacted and influenced the number of subscribers to the Airtel network. Chapter one lays out a brief introduction and background concerning Airtel billboards in Kampala and my experience with billboards and designing of billboards along with graphics design experiences. It further indicates the problem statement, objectives of the study, study scope, significance of the study and justification. Chapter two is about the literature review, in this chapter, written and documented experiences of other writers and billboard designers are presented in order to acquire an insight on their research about billboards and also to compare their research to mine. Chapter three mainly comprises of the methodology. Here different methods and tools to be used in the data collection process are laid out and how they are going to be used is described. The types of data to be collected are also mentioned that is to say; primary and secondary data. Chapter four, in this chapter the data collected from the field is presented through visuals (pictures), statistical tables, interviews, and questionnaires. Chapter five, in this chapter, conclusions to the research are made basing on whether or not the research objectives have been achieved and recommendations to the conclusions are derived.
