An investigative study on the effects of improper use tools and materials by Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Art water color student
Abstract
This study aimed at investigating on the effects of the improper use of tools and materials by the Margaret School of Industrial and Fine Art watercolor students at Makerere University in Kampala. The researcher has made samples on MTSIFA year three, year two and year one watercolor students. Due to this the target population of using 45 respondents has been fulfilled. Additionally, with help of the specific objectives which included;
1. To identify the tools and materials used,
2. To investigate on how tools and materials are used,
3. To analyze the use of tools and materials.
The study gave analysis on the use of tools and materials thus giving guidance on how these can be properly used by giving procedures to follow in order to become an exemplary watercolor student. Furthermore the study has used a description research design to obtain information. Data was collected using questionnaires administered to painting students at MTSIFA, Makerere University and interview guides that have been used to obtain information the students.
Finally, the interviewing, questionnaires and observation method following the objectives of the study were so helpful in chapter four which involved observing (to see) tools and materials used. Thus presenting data using tables for interpretation and analysis using percentages
