Uganda is currently among the largest pork consumers in sub-Saharan Africa with per capita pork consumption of 3.4kg per person per year, this could be due to increasing population coupled with increasing welfare and the demand for animal protein. This has resulted into a rapid increase in the consumption and demand for pig and pork products which has exceeded supply. This study was therefore carried out to characterize respondents and to determine factors that influence pig production in Mukono district. The study used primary data was collected from 104 respondents and data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and a linear regression model. The study revealed that farmer access to extension services and household size have a positive and significant influence on pig production. On the other hand age of the farmer was revealed to have a negative and significant influence on pig production. The study therefore recommends increasing extension agents in veterinary department to the parish level, to enable farmers have access to quality extension services so as to boost pig productionen_US
