A critical study of 3d signage as an effective form of outdoor advertising in Kampala.

This report was conducted to assess the effectiveness of dimensional signs in Kampala Central Division, Uganda, it was based on the following objectives, to identify the materials used in making dimensional signs, to find out the places where 3D signs are put and investigate the effectiveness of dimensional signs as a form of advertising in Kampala central division. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of 3D signs as a form of advertising The study discussed the review of related literature that related to the study area. It was based on the research objectives and research questions. The research methodology employed and this is because it enabled the researcher to obtain diverse information from the subject under investigation. The study population was selected using random and purposive sampling, data was collected using both questionnaires, observation and interviews and was analyzed The research also was presented using tables, images and findings that were discussed basing on the study findings obtained from the field. The research also found out that the impact of dimensional signage depends on many factors like materials, placement of signs and others. Also, this study revealed that effective dimensional signs should have nice color choice which are attractive, Therefore, business men, designers should think of those factors to ensure effective advertising of the three brands while using dimensional signs
