Youth travel is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic market of the global tourism sector. It’s significance is growing throughout the world as estimated that around a fifth of all tourism journeys in the world are made by young people that represents a significant market in the tourism industry. Tourism has been globally recognized as a great contributor of revenue to the economy with youth based tourism taking lead due to their travel behavior. Despite an increasing interest in the market size of young travelers, economic potential and their desire to travel, relatively little is known about their actual travel behavior. Understanding the behavior and patterns of Ugandan youth travelers in tourism and hospitality is a matter of utmost importance for improving the sustainability of the tourism industry. Predetermined questionnaire and key informant interviews were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics were used to make summarizes of the data using SPSS. The results were presented using tables and charts.en_US
