The study was about " A CONTEXTUAL ANALYSIS OF THE BUGANDA CLAN PORTRAITS ALONG KABAKA ANJAGALA ROAD (2018-2019). It was guided by the following objectives; To identify the artist and different portraits along kabaka ANJAGALA road and also finding out the historical and cultural connotations of the sculptural clan portraits along kabaka ANJAGALA road with the people of Buganda. Furthermore I used a research design that employed the qualitative method since I was aiming at assessing the historical and cultural connotations behind the sculptural portraits. The area study took place along kabaka ANJAGALA road in mengo kamplala central Uganda and the population target involved respondents who were officials from the tourism board of Buganda plus residents along kabaka ANJAGALA road. My data was analyzed through both quantitative and qualitative data approaches mainly through the use questionnaires and also observation method by use of the camera and eyes too. It was found out that the area onto which the sculptures were placed obtained trees known as " Kabaka ANJAGALA" and they were placed their as a land mark that was given to each clan by the king of Buganda along kabaka ANJAGALA road. In conclusion, I found out that the sculptures were established mainly to safe guard land given to each clan and also for the king to easily identify the clans during ceremonies.en_US
