The project aimed at designing and building a digital library for Makerere college school to ease the access and retrieval of information materials by home schooling students. A case study research design was used while adopting a qualitative research approach. Questionnaires and Observation were the methods of data collection used. The Questionnaire and observation were sampled to the respondents and the sample size of respondents. The project found out that, Makerere college school libraryis not digitized which hinders access and retrieval of library information material by home-schooling students. The current services provided by Makerere College School library are done manually. The challenges that are faced in providing the service include limited space in the library and long lines leading to delay, limited access off the school premises amongst others. The project concluded that, if the library is not digitized, home-schooling students will not be able to access and retrieve information materials effectively from the library. The project recommends that the management of Makerere College School library should adopt the proposed digitallibrary since it is online and will improve the access and retrieval of library information material by the home-schooling students in the library.
