    Abstract
    Urban authorities are being faced with big challenges in providing municipal solid waste management services. Poor municipal solid waste management adversely affects socio-economic development and leads to poor health. Aim of the Study The study assessed community participation in sustainable municipal solid waste management in Kayunga Town Council. It sought to establish whether community participation adequately contributed to sustainable municipal solid waste management. Methodology A descriptive cross-sectional survey design with qualitative and quantitative research methods was used. Data collection tools included structured and semi-structured questionnaires and observational checklists.
