The study aimed at the Records classification scheme of MODVA and intended to address the current problems encountered in Ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs and to recommend possible solutions in regard to records classification schedule especially in the administrative section of the ministry. Interviews, observations and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques under the case study. The researchers analyzed the current system of records classification scheme at the MODVA and noted a number of faults that caused challenges in classification and general management of records. The researchers therefore recommended the use of an electronic document management system. The system requirement, specifications, and workflow are also provided. The system can generate a report on the total number of cases reported, to find out the types of records and how these records are retrieved at the MODVA and to suggest possible solutions to the identified problems reported.en_US
