dc.description.abstractThe aim of the project was to develop a circulation policy for Kisubi High School (KHS) Library in order to improve on information delivery at the school library. The objectives of the study were to; identify the types of information materials that are in KHS Library, examine the methods used in circulation of information materials at KHS Library, fin d out the challenges faced in the circulation of information materials at KHS Library, and develop a circulation policy for KHS Library. The study employed a case study research design while adopting a qualitative research approach in data collection. The researcher purposely selected one (I) teacher who is responsible with the library activities and the two (2) librarians. Interview and observation methods were used in the collection of data from the respondents. The study findings revealed that the different of information material ls include; text books, past papers, newspapers, holy books and magazines, pamphlets, periodicals, handouts, photographs in Geography, map extracts, images and newspapers which are borrowed by students and teachers on a daily basis. The circulation of the information materials in the library is done manually. Library users visit the librarian at the counter and present their 1.0 and the title of the information resources they need. The challenges faced in the circulation of the library materials at Kisubi High School included; manual system used in the library, difficult in locating information resources on shelves, late return of information materials taken out by users, lack of updates, limited number of copies, librarians also noted that it's hard to notice long overdue dates, inadequate information resources and book damage. The different suggestions identified to improve on the circulation of library materials at Kisubi High School library were; developing a circulation policy, purchase of more computers in the library, acquisition of more . information materials, selection of up dated information resources. The study came out with a circulation policy to help the librarians deliver information resources to the users of the libraryen_US
