Emphasis on the long term preservation of their data contents .In contrast to traditional storage systems in which data lifetimes are measured in decades; secure archival storage has the added goal of providing controlled access to its long term contents. Public Archival systems aim to ensure that their contents are available to anyone in the most accurate and timely manner. However, this record safety is subject to threats that affect their security availability and integrity of archival storage contents. thus a Archival storage systems are designed for write-once ,read –may be usage model which places an proper understanding of these threats is essential to effectively devise new policies and mechanisms to guard against them (Mark,etal 2006) District headquarters are among the highest records consumers as they relate the past to present in order to predict the future. WAKISO DISTRICT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTATION AND SUPPERVISION OF both local and central government Administrative, judicial, social, political economic and traditional activities and also recruits new personnel to perform every activity that better the district at large. It is thus generates an economous archives whose security and protection is a critical success factor to the development of the district. Thus it is important to ensure the safety and safety and protection of such valuable archives.
