dc.description.abstractThe study was carried out to assess tourismpotential of Kagulu hill cultural site in Buyende famous activity at the rock site, caves where king of Busoga go for traditional ceremony, , the into stimulating tax revenues, lead to the development of more infrastructure such as hotels for and employment, roads, people also sell crafts to tourists so they believe and have a good crafts are also found at the site, the plantation farms and few planted forests and community likely to be faced by the challenges such as limited income, corruption, limited awareness about example Hon Rebecca Kadaga constructed a restaurant at the site which is a source of income cultural tourism and limited infrastructures like hotels for accommodation and good roads, limited guides, high taxes and finally the study recommended that there should be more seeking cultural tours. Results further reveled that people believe the development at the site would result would not covered by two methods and data was analyzed using SPSS version 16.0. people‟s viewson the development of cultural tourism at the hilland (iii) To examine the potential place for tourism in the year 1972 and 1973 and he built the first climbing steps on the district, eastern Uganda. The study was guided by the following objectives; (i)To profile the marketing through advertisement, more visiting of students of different levels and creation of from the site. Also the studyrevealed that the potential for developing tourism at Kagulu hill is perception towards tourism at the sitehowever, others but not many say that they do not benefit sampling techniques. Personal observation was also used as a basis to capture information that The results revealed that Kagulu Hill cultural tourism site that can be used for tourism rock, viewing lake kyoka from the top, sports on the top flat rock and picnics on the top of the rock, wildlife for example monkeys, baboon and bird watching cultural performances, arts and features that make it possible to develop cultural tourism at Kagulu hill, (ii) To examine local challenges that hinder the development of Kagulu hill as a tourism site. A sample size of 96 respondents was obtained and were selected by use of both simple random and purposive tourist attractions, and included cone and round shaped and rocks for hiking which is the most history of the site connecting the former president HE Eid Amin Dada who saw this site as a of government sponsorship, sensitizing the local people about benefits of tourism, intensive development because of its attractions that are diverse, unique and internationally significant for jobs for the local people in the area by the government.Also the study revealed that the development of Kagulu hill as a tourism site is likely to face challenges such as limited funds, corruption, lack of sensitization aboutcultural tourism and their benefits, absence of service sanitization should be carried out about cultural tourism in the area, seeking government and facilities, and poor management and planning and finally the study recommended that more private financial investments and training guides at the site for provision of better services.en_US
