An electronic record tracking system is essential to successful records tracking management, which is an integral part in monitoring records movement, retrieval and access of the records. The main aim of the project was to design an electronic record tracking system for administrators and to establish the requirements for developing an electronic record tracking system for administrators of Sebbi hospital. To achieve the above aim, the study was guided by the project objectives, which include; identifying the type of electronic records managed at Sebbi hospital, to design and implement an electronic record tracking system for Sebbi hospital and also to test and validate the system. The project also involved the process of gathering data through interaction with records management staff at Sebbi hospital. Information was gathered using tools such as interview guide, documentation and Structured System Analysis and Design Method (SSADM). The data collected was very comprehensive and this led to a successfully developed electronic record tracking system.
