Maximum inclusion of Black soldier larvae as an alternative protein source for broiler chicken production
Abstract
The study was conducted to compare the performance of broiler chicken fed on BSFL and fish meal during a period of 6 weeks. A total of 24 broiler day 1 old chicks were used in the experiment. Fish meal was replaced with BSFL at 0%,10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% for treatment groups A, B, C, D, E and F. There was no statistical difference in crude protein content of fish meal and BSFL feed , there was no statistical difference in feed intake, live weight gain and FCR. (P= 0.09) among treatment groups.
