dc.description.abstractGlobally, there are 2.2 billion people that have vision impairment either near or distance vision. There is 50.3% prevalence of presbyopia in Uganda and 3.5% spectacle coverage rate. The aim of this study was to ascertain the prevalence and visual challenges for teachers with presbyopia in primary and secondary schools.A descriptive cross-sectional study involving the use of quantitative methods was carried out in Kawempe division in Kampala district. Conclusion: Majority of teachers had impaired near visual functioning with a high prevalence of presbyopia (53.1%).en_US
