dc.description.abstractFoodborne illnesses have become a great concern to public health worldwide. The University students in the developing world are considered to be at high risk due to their risky behaviors and poor preparation practices during manipulation of their food. Food safety is of concern in university settings because students prepare meals for themselves at their first time to sustain their livelihood at the campus. The objective of this study was to assess knowledge, attitudes and practices on food safety and hygiene among undergraduate students at Makerere University, to improve practices among students during the manipulation of food.en_US
