Why colleges in Makerere University don’t have individual symbols

Abstract

My research report is basing on why colleges in Makerere university don’t have individual symbols of identity and the purpose of the study is to investigate why colleges in Makerere University don't have individual symbols. In chapter one the researcher introduced and presented the background study of symbols of the Uganda coat of arms and the Uganda national flag in coordination with the desired identities to be designed for Makerere university following the core values and history. In chapter two the researcher reviewed all the history of the Uganda flag and the coat of arms and how they are great symbols to Ugandans relating them to the symbol that he will be designing for the colleges of Makerere University. In chapter three the researcher presented the various methodologies that will be able to use during the data collection of his research which include sampling, questionnaire, observation, one on one interviews. In the fourth chapter the researcher displayed the presentation, interpretation and analysis of the data he fetched from the field.he verified the research using his objectives and presented the results according to them systematically. In chapter five the researcher made discussions, recommendations plus conclusions in line with objectives. Putting aside the unity that the Makerere university logo spreads, they need individual symbols for easy identity, the individual college symbols can be used by every college in order to easily show the location of the college.
