This study is aimed at assessing student’s behavior towards Environmental Sustainability at Makerere. It was carried out in the 10 colleges of the University with a sample size of 200 respondents. The study was descriptive and employed a survey research approach where quantitative data was collected using an online questionnaire with Kobo tool and analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). Majority of the students 65.7% that took part in the survey had prior knowledge on environmental sustainability from their programs offered, media among other sources. However, the results from the study show that students affiliated to science colleges are more aware about the concept than their counter parts attached to arts colleges. The results also showed that non-residents of halls behave more environmentally sustainable than those that reside in the halls. The respondents attached their unsustainable behavior to social, psychological and financial barriers.en_US
