Personal Adoration of Jewelry by the Students

Abstract

The research was carried out with the main goal of investigating on the way students adore their own made jewelry at and outside the school of MTSIFA. The research made through observation found out that the students don't wear their jewelry artpieces they make. This was based on the following objectives; to investigate why the jewelry students do not adore their jewelry artpieces, to identify the different Jewelry techniques that are used in manipulation of designs by the jewelry students at MTSIFA, to establish how the different jewelry techniques can be showcased and worn by the jewelry students. Many students at MTSIFA have not treated their works with alot of respect where after making the coursework, jewelry art pieces are thrown and dismantled and some carelessly loose them. The study addressed what transpired during the course of the study at MTSIFA by the jewelry students. The research methodology employed in the study was both quantitative and qualitative data. The study population was the undergraduate jewelry students of all years, old students in the field and their lecturers, the data techniques that were used included : questionnaires, survey interviews, focus groups and observations.
