dc.description.abstractRabbit farming is the processof rearing and management of rabbits in controlled environment. Rabbit farming has been looked at as an avenue of alleviating poverty among the rural poor people and urban people in suburbs. There is lack of general knowledge among people on how to raise rabbits . other studies have focused on the production status, problems and prospects of rabbit production. The research has established the different advantages and potentials ofrabbit over the other species for example, high market price, low feeding costs, low mortality and diseases manifestation. Therefore, few studies have established and identified the determinants of the uptake of rabbit farming. Unfortunately, with all the benefits and opportunities that come with rabbit farming. There is a slight adoption to rabbit farming among people. The study was conducted to evaluate the knowledge, attitude of individual towards the rabbit farming and the rabbit meat consumption. A cross sectional survey with the help of a questionnaire as a data collection tool from 50 individuals was used and chi-square was used to evaluate the association between people’s knowledge and attitude on the rabbit meat.the results obtained revealed the people’s knowledge and attitude had p-value less than 0.05 hence statistically significant.en_US
