dc.description.abstractThe research study was based on leather as a multifunctional material for fashionable accessories in Kampala. The purpose of this research study was to investigate the entire efforts made by the leather manufacturers to support the production of leather fashionable accessories in kampala and Uganda as a whole from the start. These efforts are to be assessed within the context of intervention or sector activities. The research will determine as systematically and objectively as possible the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, impact and sustainability of leather to the fashion industry. Furthermore the study was based on the following objectives in relation to the study topic; To analyze the quantity and quality of leather products like bags and foot wear produced in Kampala. To assess the consistence and sufficieney of leather products supplied. To examine how leather products costs can be favorable to the customers tastes and preferences. In chapter one, the researcher presented an introductory part of the entire study including the information of the background of the research study, statement of the problem, purpose of the study, objectives, research questions, significance and the scope of the study. In chapter two, the researcher documented and cited all possible written relations in the literature review by collecting possible literature with the identified objectives. In chapter three, the researcher presented the various methodologies that will be able to use during data collection of her research which include, sampling, questionnaire and observation. In chapter four, the researcher displayed the presentation, interpretation and analysis of data she collected from the field. The researcher verified the research using her objectives and presented the results. In chapter five, the researcher discussed the findings that were gathered from the field in the previous chapter in relation to responses obtained from the respondents. The conclusions were made and finally recommendations that are practical were given which contribute to the new knowledge.en_US
