The study was meant to explain the use of ICT in the design process of Art and Design in Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Art. It basically covered the use of ICT in the design process of the elective courses done by year 3 students of MTSIFA, namely: Advanced Drawing III, Western Art, Neo-Classicism to present & East Africa, Typographic Design, Advanced Oil Painting, Advanced Jewellery making, Advanced Watercolour painting, History of Art- Elective II, Advanced Ceramics, Advanced Photography, Advanced Structural textile Design, Advanced Fashion Design, Advanced Illustration, Advanced Sculpture Fabrication, Sculpture, Carving and Modelling, and Advanced Applied Textile Design. The study covered the inappropriate use of ICT in the design process of the year 3 courses of Art and Design. Chapter one of this study shows how ICT was inadequately used in the design process of year three courses, showing that only two out of 14 elective courses of year three fully use ICT in their design process. In this chapter, the researcher will include the purpose for carrying out the research which was to investigate the extent of integration of ICT in the design processes of the courses taught at Margaret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Art and how it can be improved. This chapter also covered the significance of the study. Chapter two of this study covered the literature review which includes the information the researcher collected from different sources that were related to the topic of focus. Chapter three covered the research methodology, explaining the methods the researcher used to collect data for the study. Data was presented in chapter four according to the responses collected by the researcher through the questionnaires and the interviews she carried out. Overall, the researcher concluded that ICT was more adequately used in the earlier stages compared to the final stages of the design process of year three Art and Design courses at MTSIFA.en_US
