dc.description.abstractThe research was intended to inform the public plus MTSIFA students that local fibres can be used to create handmade painting surfaces at MTSIFA. The local fibres can therefor help to improve the appearance, monotony of fabric produced for as painting surfaces This contains background information, entails with the statement of the problem, purpose of the study, objectives, significance of the research, limitation and hypothesis. The objective is to identify the local fibres that can be used to create handmade painting surface. The Methods to be used are knitting, spinning, plainting, macramé and so many other techniques that can be used to explore local fibers. Conclusion keyword, the use of local fibers to create handmade painting surface to the research has great potential on textile hence making it compete with other forms of painting surfaces in the day today developing technology.en_US
