dc.description.abstractThe research study was based on the influence of the sculpture studio practice at MTSIFA to the development of contemporary Ugandan Visual arts between 2017- 2022. The purpose of the study recommended the use of digital sculpting programs in modeling sculptures in the development of contemporary Visual arts. Furthermore, the study was based on the following objectives in relation to the study topic; 1. To examine, document and cite written relations about the influence of sculpture studio practice at MTSIFA in the development of the contemporary Ugandan Visual Arts. 2. To examine the underlying us of digital sculpting in modeling sculptures in the development of contemporary Ugandan Visual Arts. 3. To compile a report on the magnitude and proposed enhancement of the use of digital sculpting programs in modeling of sculptures in the development of contemporary Ugandan Visual Arts. In chapter one, the researcher presented an introductory part of the entire study including detailed information of the background of the research study, problem statement, purpose of the research study , the objectives, research questions, significance and scope of the study. In chapter two, the researcher documented and cited all possible written relations in the literature review by collecting possible literature with the identified objectives. Conclusions were made whereby the researcher cited literature that supported the current study and suggested the right method. In chapter three, the researcher presented the methodology of this research study including the research design, research approach, sampling method, data collection method and data analysis methods that were used to acquire information for accomplishment of this research study. In addition, anticipated limitations were also included for example; unfavorable climatic conditions, resistance from respondents and inadequate income for exchange. In chapter four, the researcher presented the raw facts that were collected from the field. This data was collected using the primary source methods of data collection which included; one on one interviews, questionnaire ,observation, library search, discussion and seminars . Data was analyzed using tables and presented in percentages. Finally, in chapter five, the researcher discussed the findings that were gathered from the field in the previous chapter in relation to the responses obtained from the respondents. Conclusions were made and finally recommendations that are practical were given which contributed to new knowledge.en_US
