dc.description.abstractThis research study is concerned with understanding the farm level productivity of pumpkins in Kakiri Sub county Wakiso District. The study was conducted because pumpkin is such a very nutritious and medicinal crop, however its production is still very low in Uganda Specifically, the study is intended to achieve the following objectives; estimating the production function of pumpkin farmers, analyzing the allocative efficiency of inputs in pumpkin production, and estimating the profit function of farmers. The study adopted Descriptive method and STATA to analyse data collected directly from field records of selected farmers. Cross-sectional survey research design. Thus, the significance of this research project was aimed identifying and overcoming the key constraints to the development of pumpkins in terms of their production and profitability in area of Kakiri Sub-county, Wakiso District.en_US
