Inadequacy of art facilities among students at margaret trowel school of industrial and fine arts (MTSIFA)
Abstract
The focus of this study aimed at showing the need for students to have art facilities and it brings to light the challenges that students at the Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts (MTSIFA) at Makerere University face when they are lacking them. The study was guided by objectives which included; to analyze the inadequacy of art facilities among students at the Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts and to identify the possible solutions on how the students can acquire all the necessary art facilities.
The research was carried out using a descriptive research design with the aid of a questionnaire to collect primary data. Furthermore, a random sampling technique was used from a sample size and the questionnaires contained questions that addressed the objectives of the study.
From the study findings, it was revealed that students having art facilities at their disposal has a great impact on improving their productivity as well as general performance in both school work assignments and examinations. Curbing of the problem of inadequate art facilities enables students to have the best education experience.
The study recommended that the University should ensure and also find ways of providing the art facilities that should be provided for students at the Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts and the students should also be able to acquire the facilities that are expected of them.
