The study involves the background information on fashion. A problem was stated plus the study was guided by the following objectives. 1. To investigate the tools and materials used in fashion design. 2. To assess how a student’s choice to do fashion design is determined by The knowledge about the availability of fashion tools and materials at MTSIFA. 3. To investigate the reason behind the small number of the Male students in the fashion class. The study findings revealed that fashion tools and materials are crucial in the stiudy of fashion design and concluded that most Male students left fashion because of the gender based bias that fashion is for women and that the list of requirements was too long and pushed many to leave therefore, career training was recommended as one of the ways to stop the gender based bias on course units.en_US
