There’s a critical knowledge gap regarding the specific ways in which climate change is affecting the resources within and around MFNP, as well as how the communities are coping with these impacts. This lack of understanding hinders development of effective strategies foe adaptation and resilience building and thus the study assessed the Impact of Climate Change on Tourism resources and development in Buliisa community around Murchison falls national park. The study was guided by three objectives which included; to assess climate trends around Murchison falls NP over the last 30 years, to assess the challenges of climate change to the management of Murchison Falls NP, and to determine the measures set to adapt to climate change in Murchison falls NP. The study used case study design and random sampling method was used to sample 50 respondents form Buliisa community while purposive sampling was used to selected the officials from Murchison falls national park. Data was collected using structured questionnaires and was analyzed using the SPSS computer package. Results showed that the park receives both first and second rainy seasons and first and wert dry seasons. The variations in climate have affected both the Buliisa community and the Park through limited food supplies, increasing human wildlife conflicts, prices of goods, and increased park encroachment. Both the rainy and dry seasons alter the ecosystems and force animals to move for long distances and sometimes attack the community. Further, the study revealed that weather and climate changes have created challenges to the park management by making the park inaccessibility, changes in the ecosystems, and off tracking. Many areas have seen the disappearance of habitats, and roads are blocked, making it hard to access the park. The variation is that climate has resulted in increased burning, resulting in the flooding of some of the areas. The study shows that various measures such as the management of the mining areas, afforestation programs, sensitization of people, controlled burning, the use of public transport to save resources, and the use of more efficient energy sources, have been set up as climate adaptation measures. It bases on these results that the study recommended that farmers should start practicing climate-smart agriculture to fight climate change and that sensitization campaigns about the effects of climate change should be enhanced and spearheaded by both the private sector and the government to reverse the effects of climate change.en_US
