A study on Hass avocado production carried in three sub-counties of wakiso district (Namayumba, Masuliita and Kakiri) had the main objective; to assess farmers’ participation in Hass avocado growing and determining profitability of Hass Avocado enterprises. A sample of 55 farmers was selected to provide primary data to be used to answer the objectives of the study. The data was analysed used descriptive statistics, gross margin analysis and log linear regression analysis. The key findings of the study were that, Kakiri Sub County had the highest number of Hass Avocado farmers (36%). The average gross margin earned by the Hass Avocado farmers was 8775000 million per acre per season. Household size, market type, farm size and distance to the nearest market significantly affected the profitability of Hass avocado enterprises in wakiso district. The recommendation of the study included; Farmers should increase on the land under cultivation of Hass avocado, since farm size had a positive and significant coefficient so as to enable them enjoy the economies of scale associated with large production. Farming organisations should provide subsidized or free inputs so as to encourage production and follow up the inputs so as to ensure that they have been put for right use.en_US
