Effects of covid-19 pandemic at Makerere University Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Art.
Abstract
The study investigated on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic at Makerere University. COVID-19 widely spread globally in the year 2019 and this greatly affected the entire system.
The study was based on the following objectives; the main objective of the study was to assess the measures used to control the spread of COVID-19, the other objective was to find asses the possible ways of fighting and preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus at MTSIFA, whereas the last objective was to identify the effective learning methods to be used by students at MTSIFA.
In this research, the researcher used two methods of collecting data which were quantitative and qualitative. As a researcher, I used these methods to obtain results from the field ( Kikoni) for example the number of people interviewed, percentages and others.
The findings of the study; the results obtained from the field stated that COVID-19 negatively affected the society at Makerere University, however according to the findings from the researcher’s possible solutions were used to fight its spread and effective learning methods.
