dc.description.abstractThis study was aimed at finding out the relationship between social environmental factors and physical activity among secondary School students in Nansana Municipality and was carried out from 2 Secondary schools with Nansana. A descriptive cross-sectional study design was employed, and 245 students were given questionnaires while 218 met the criterion of 13-15 years of age with a response rate of 89%. After collecting data using the questionnaires, it was analyzed using Microsoft Excel, frequencies and findings presented in tables and pie charts. The study established that 83.9% of the students engaged in moderate intensity activities for at least more than 10 minutes, 42.7% of them met the recommended MVPA of an average of 60 minutes daily for children and youth aged 6-17 years. The study also concluded that there was a relationship between the social environmental factors and physical activity among high school students following 7 different aspects that were assessed.en_US
