dc.description.abstractABSTRACT This report is about Records Processing and Organization at Kisubi Seminary. It was guided by the following objectives; to identify the types of records maintained, the tools used to process and organize records within Kisubi seminary records office, the challenges associated with records processing and organization and to suggest the possible solutions to the challenges identified. To achieve these objectives, the researcher will use qualitative methodology which will include various data collection methods and tools such as interviews and observation. Chapter one introduces the background of the study, background of the school, statement of the problem, objectives, research questions and scope of the study. Chapter two presents the review of the related literature which other people or scholars have given or written on different topics regarding the area of study and it is presented according to the objectives and the research questions of the study. Chapter three presents the methods and instruments that are to be used in data collection and data analysis. It specifically deals with areas of study, research design, population study, selection of the study subject and sample size, research methods, research instruments, data analysis and presentation, ethical issues and limitations. The findings revealed that the most common types of records include financial records, academic records and administrative records which were preserved to document the information on the administration of the school and legal records which contained the legal documentation of the school which include the license and certificates of operation. The study concluded that the challenges faced while processing and organizing records which included inadequate space, absence of an automated system, lack of clear documented policy, inappropriate instruments and tools used while processing and organizing records. The study recommends an automated records management and expansion of records office. A new automated system that is able to capture, read and update records. and the expansion of records office will create a bigger space which will accommodate large volume of records. The researcher also recommends the staff to try and understand all guidelines for improving Records processing and organization system this is because it is intended to help the Kisubi seminary.en_US
