An online complaints submission system of Messiah Hostel
Abstract
This Project Report presents Online Complaints Submission System (OCSS) that is meant mainly to assist the renters in raising complaints about the issues concerning the status of living in hostels as well as tracking the progress of the complaint through the feedback availed by the hostel management. The main intention of my project was to develop an Online Complaints Submission System (OCSS) that ensures faster response of renters’ complaints as well as enabling easy tracking of the complaints by the both renters and Estates management.
The system has been developed using the methodology that is step-by-step methods with stages ranging from requirements specification to validation of the system. Information for system study was gathered using tools such as interviews and questionnaires study of relevant literature. Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs), Flow charts and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) were used in the analysis and design of the system.
The technologies that were used in the implementation of this system include PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor), CSS (Cascading Sheets), JavaScript, HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and MySQL for data Management. The outcome of this research project was an OCSS that has simplified the renters’ complaining procedures through the use of immediate feedback from the hostel management which has enabled renters to easily track the progress of their complaints.
