Mosquitoes are vectors of diseases like malaria, lymphatic filariasis, yellow fever, and other arboviruses. The most common vectors of malaria in Uganda are An. gambiae s.l and An. funestus group with An. gambiae sensulato(s.l.) being the dominant species in most places. Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by the Plasmodium parasite, which is transmitted to people through the bites of infected Anopheles mosquitoes.en_US
